Method For Producing Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells

Abstract

Disclosed is a method for producing induced pluripotent stem cells from somatic cells, by which the carcinogenicity of somatic cells that are induced to differentiate from the produced induced pluripotent stem cells can be decreased. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing induced pluripotent stem cells from somatic cells, which comprises the following steps: (a) a step wherein at least one or more initialization genes are introduced into somatic cells; and (b) a step wherein all or at least one of the initialization genes introduced into the somatic cells is removed, and cells from which all or at least one of the initialization genes introduced into the somatic cells is removed are sorted out from cells from which the initialization genes introduced into the somatic cells are not removed.
