Abstract

The invention relates to a method for adjusting a cooking program that is to be executed in a cooking chamber of a cooking appliance. In said method, at least one of a plurality of parameters relating to a product to be cooked can be adjusted by means of at least one first display and control device, said parameter being determined by a type of product to be cooked, such as poultry, fish, game, beef, veal, pasta, dessert, soup, vegetarian dish, or the like, and a preparation of the product to be cooked, such as roasting, grilling, steaming, cooking, or the like, and/or a degree of cooking comprising a degree of internal cooking, which is especially determined by a core temperature or a cooking value, such as transparent, well-done, medium, or the like, and/or a degree of external cooking, which is especially determined by a surface temperature, such as crusty, breaded, browned, or the like. Said method is characterized in that each first display and control device graphically displays each parameter of the product to be cooked, can be actuated separately from the cooking appliance, and can transmit data to the cooking appliance. At least first data for adjusting parameters of the product to be cooked is transmitted from the first display and control device to the cooking appliance, a specific climate is generated in the cooking chamber in accordance with at least the first data, a request for loading the product that is to be cooked and is determined by at least the first data is output or a corresponding loading process is initiated as soon as the specific climate has been obtained in the cooking chamber, and a cooking program determined by at least the first data is executed once the specific product to be cooked has been loaded. The invention also relates to an electronic menu and a mobile telephone for carrying out such a method.
