Abstract

An interactive prototype assessment system comprising: (a) a translation unit in communication with a prototype model and operable to detect user interaction at a user interface of the prototype model; (b) a controller in wireless communication with the translation unit; and (c) a display device operable to display a representation of a display screen for the prototype model; wherein the translation unit is operable to transmit a signal to the controller in dependence upon detected user interaction at the user interface, and the controller is operable to receive the signal from the translation unit and transmit a corresponding signal to the display device to alter the representation of the display screen in dependence upon the detected user interaction at the user interface. Also provided is an interactive prototype system as previously described in combination with a prototype model having a user interface, a wireless translation unit for use in such an interactive prototype assessment system, a prototype model, and a method of assessment of a prototype model comprising the steps of providing a prototype model with a user interface, providing an interactive prototype assessment system as previously described, embedding the translation unit within the prototype model in communication with the user interface and detecting user interaction at the user interface and transmitting a signal to the controller in dependence upon the detected user interaction, and altering the representation of the display screen in dependence upon the detected user interaction.
