transplanting a therapeutically effective amount of the population of donor activated T cells into the recipient, formed by contacting a population of donor cells from the same mammalian species comprising T cells with antigen presenting cells (APCs) and a pre-selected antigen of interest, wherein the pre-selected antigen is presented by the APCs to the T cells to produce a population of donor activated T cells in the presence of a PD-1 antagonist; and
administering to the recipient the therapeutically effective amount of a PD-1 antagonist,
