Rapid Determination Of Genotypic Differences

The full document isn't yet available to us from the patent office.

The invention is directed to a method for a rapid determination of genetic variants. Such genetic variants are of particular clinical or diagnostic importance if they occur in a disease-related region in the genome of a patient or in microbial or viral pathogens, e.g. in HIV. Heteroduplexes or oligoplexes are formed by incubating the disease-relevant DNA from a biological sample with a corresponding standard DNA probe, separated with capillary electrophoresis, and the composition and amount of the heteroduplexes and oligoplexes measured.
