The implant has a base body having a load axis, along which primarily at least one of tensile and compressive forces are transmissible; and a swivel joint (11,12,13) formed in one piece with the base body. The swivel joint has a rotary axis formed transversely to the load axis. The rotary axis facilitates limited bending of the base body about the rotary axis. An independent claim for a connecting rod.
