Abstract

The present application relates to a method of determining a treatment regime for ADHD for a single patient comprising providing a series of tests to an ADHD group and a normative group to determine a series of brain markers determining the expected effect of a series of candidate drugs on the markers, providing the series of tests to the single patient, determining the likely effect of a combination of candidate drugs on the single patient, and selecting and administering a combination of candidate drugs to the single patient. The present application also relates to methods o treating ADHD comprising administering at least one dopaminergic agent and at least one cholinesterase agent, and optionally one or more agents selected from the group consisting of NMDA receptor antagonists, mGluR agonists, antagonists, and positive modulators of AMPA receptors, and more preferably administering a Dl receptor agonist an a nicotinic agonist and/or an anti-cholinesterase.
