a) bringing said surface of the solid substrate onto which at least one molecule comprising at least one protonated nitrogen group is immobilized, into contact with a solution T1 containing a coloring agent having properties of absorption, emission or reemission in a wavelength range of from 280 to 3000 nm,\n
wherein said coloring agent is capable of reacting with said molecule comprising at least one protonated nitrogen group, wherein said coloring agent is Coomassie blue G250,\n
b) removing said coloring agent which has not reacted with said surface during step (a),\n
c) bringing said surface into contact with a solution T2 capable of dissociating the complex formed between said coloring agent and said molecule comprising at least one protonated nitrogen group thereby the coloring returns to solution in solution T2,\n
wherein said solution T2 is an aqueous solution containing an alcohol and carbonate ions,\n
wherein the pH of said solution T2 is greater than 11,\n
and wherein the proportion of alcohol is between 40% and 60% by volume, relative to the total volume of solution T2,\n
