Abstract

A secure extensible point-of-sale (POS) platform is disclosed. The platform includes numerous features that are not found in traditional POS system. In some implementations, information regarding transaction modifications are synchronized throughout the POS platform. In some implementations, registered applications on the POS platform receive broadcasts regarding transaction modifications on the POS platform and take actions in response thereto. In some implementations, the POS platform includes a client device with a secure processor, a second processor, and a hardware multiplexer that routes data to the secure processor and second processor under the exclusive control of the secure processor. In some implementations, the POS platform includes a client device with a display configured to present a first interface and a second interfaced based on the position of the POS device. The first interface has a first set of functionalities that is prevented from being accessible in the second interface.
